From our family to yours: The Latest on APN - Feb. 11-17

We’re heading into the Family Day long weekend, a pretty-made-up holiday that has some advantages over the other occasions that are supposed to bring families together. This one has no expectations of gifts or fancy meals — it’s just a day to chill at a time of year when we could really use a break. We hope you find some time to spend with those you love. And if you’ve got a little extra time for some podcast listening, may we suggest these?

The “subscribe” button on the Listen Notes playlist below will let you grab APN’s most recent episodes for your podcatcher.

Balzac Billy did not see his shadow on Feb. 2, which means, we’re told, that Alberta is in for an early spring. We don’t typically invest a lot of belief in the long-range forecasts of small mammals, and goodness knows, Groundhog Day itself could use a reboot, but hey, it’s nice to imagine the snow and cold away. Feel free to will those prairie crocuses to life with a fine local listen in your ears, courtesy of your pals at the Alberta Podcast Network.

The “subscribe” button on the Listen Notes playlist below will let you grab APN’s most recent episodes for your podcatcher.

  • The Well Endowed Podcast takes a look at how Edmonton’s Food Bank goes beyond food to support community members.
