We’re so pleased to introduce you to the latest addition to our network — Life with Dementia, a solutions-driven podcast sharing relevant research, personal stories, and practical tips to help people live well with dementia.
Host Johnna Lowther is an educator, author and consultant who has a passion for senior care and a belief that the world needs more empathy for the true needs of people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Her show is realistic but full of hope, and often touches on how art and creativity can help us live well for our whole lives.
“My friends with dementia have been and continue to be some of the greatest spiritual teachers I’ve known,” she said in a recent episode. “They’ve changed my life, and the lives of many other I know, because we took the time to stop, listen, and learn the language being spoken.”
Johnna heard about the Alberta Podcast Network on CKUA. She got in touch and was inspired to extend her work through a podcast, and now we have the opportunity to amplify her efforts with our network.
Life with Dementia makes another great addition to our education and self-improvement podcasts. Subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts, and follow it on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Many thanks to our founding sponsor, ATB Financial, and our other sponsors for making it possible to bring more podcasts into the network.
