March 8 marked International Women's Day, but in these parts we like to think that every day is a good time to appreciate women's voices taking up space in the airways. Especially in our APN family, we're big fans of our cohort of ladies regularly discussing culture, cuisine, cars, careers, and even a little bit of crime. (Triton Digital reports that true crime is the most popular genre for female listeners, too.)
In addition to our fab playlist of all-new episodes, if you happen to be in Edmonton on March 12 you can catch Rising Voices, a panel of women podcasting on the arts, presented as part of the SkirtsAfire Festival. The event is pay-what-you-can, and features APN's Rayanne Haines (Crow Reads), Samantha Hees (I Love This, You Should Too), Makda Mulatu (Glass Bookshop Radio), and Sheena Rossiter (of WIFTA's Storylines) in discussion with APN Program Director Fawnda Mithrush. Join us, won't you?
