Poppies, poppies everywhere — The week on APN — Nov. 6-12

While many donned the red flower on their lapels this week, we're everyday fans of poppies over here. Not for their opium content (though we still chuckle at that old Seinfeld episode), but for their high-contrast flourishes in art, society, and delicious baked goods. An unabashed "tall poppy" is up there on our list with Baba's poppy seed rolls. They're also associated with sleep and dreams — just ask Keats or the Wizard of Oz.

This year marked a century for the flower's employment as a symbol of remembrance for veterans. As such, the squad at APN have prepped all-new playlists for these reflective times.

The “subscribe” button on any of the Listen Notes playlists will let you grab a playlist for your podcatcher. Sample the shows below, or check out the full week’s roundup on Spotify.
