Comforting lights for long winter nights — The week on APN - Nov. 27-Dec. 3

As we near the longest eve of the year, brilliant spots of light dot the landscape — Omicron be damned. Illuminated displays colour city parks, neighbours string bulbs over doorways, and menorahs glow in windows around the block. It's enough to make you appreciate the dark; the lights just wouldn't shine as brightly without it.
